Our prediction for this Bundesliga 2 match:
Fortuna Dusseldorf and Heidenheim face each other at Merkur Spiel-Arena in the opening match of day 15 of the new 2. Bundesliga campaign. Fortuna aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Dynamo Dresden where they failed to turn their dominance into equalizing goal. Dusseldorf are eager to escape the danger zone, but they will have to do it without injured trio Appelkamp – Hoffmann – Kownacki. Goalkeeper Florian Kastenmeier has been tested positive for coronavirus.
Heidenheim, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Holstein Kiel. Frank Schmidt’s troops produce much better showings at home than on the travels, and given their three-game losing run on the road, we are tempted to put our money on draw. As for the visiting team, both Tim Siersleben and Gianni Mollo are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away side.
