Elversberg continue to impress in the 2. Bundesliga, and their 4-1 triumph over Braunschweig showed just how dangerous they can be in front of goal. Even without Dragon, Pfeiffer, and Seifert, the hosts had more than enough attacking potential to see off their opponents. Confidence is high, and September’s fine run of form gives them every reason to believe they can claim another big scalp. Holstein Kiel, meanwhile, arrive in good spirits after brushing aside Karlsruher 3-0 in convincing fashion.
That win reaffirmed their ambitions for the top half of the table, though absentees Cvjetanovic, Erras, and Kelati weaken their depth. Kiel will fancy their chances of causing problems going forward, but Elversberg’s momentum at home cannot be overlooked.
