Our prediction for this Bundesliga 2 match:
Hannover will be looking to make a flying start to the new 2. Bundesliga campaign as they play host to Kaiserslautern at Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena. Hannover were having their ups and downs in preseason, but their triumph over Cagliari in the last warm-up game is surely giving fans a reason for optimism. Bear in mind, though, that important forward Nicolo Tresoldi has joined Jupiler League powerhouse Club Brugge in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 loss to Roma in their last pre-season friendly. Kaiserslautern are not regarded as good travellers and given their 3-1 loss to Hannover in their last meeting at Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena, home win should definitely be considered. Summer signing Ivan Prtajin (centre-forward) is widely expected to make his official Kaiserslautern debut against Hannover, while Ragnar Ache is no longer part of the team after signing a deal with FC Koln.
