Our prediction for this Bundesliga 2 match:
All eyes will be on Benteler Arena when Paderborn and Braunschweig face each other in the 2. Bundesliga round 12. Paderborn aim to put an end to their three-game losing run in the league, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail in the midweek clash. Since Elmar Volkmann’s troops have been struggling in front of goal of late, home win should not be considered. Braunschweig, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Osnabruck.
Seeing that both sides have been anything but impressive up front in recent weeks, we are tempted to put our money on under 2.5 goals. Braunschweig defender Benjamin Kessel, who suffered an injury in the 2-1 loss to St. Pauli, is unlikely to recover in time to face Paderborn. Anyhow, a low-scoring affair is on the cards at Benteler Arena as both sides struggle in front of goal.
