Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Augsburg have been showing signs of improvement of late. After holding reigning champions Bayern Munchen to a 2-2 draw, the Bavarians did well to share the spoils with Wolfsburg on the road in their last league match. Augsburg are determined to beat the odds and secure yet another Bundesliga survival, and they are surely capable of making life difficult for Schalke 04, who suffered a dip in form.
Die Knappen have collected only two points from last three league matches, with the team failing to find the net in previous two games in the national championship. Since the visitors have been struggling in front of goal in recent weeks, a low-scoring affair is on the horizon at WWK Arena, and we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. In their last meeting in the German top flight, the two teams played out a goalless draw.

Highlighted Player (Alfred Finnbogason):

Born in Grindavik in 1989, Alfred Finnbogason is one of the most prolific strikers in the history of Icelandic football, as the well-travelled forward has been scoring goals for fun throughout his career. His talent was first spotted at Breidablik, where two very successful campaign helped him move to Lokeren, where he did not spent a lot of time and soon signed for Helsingborgs.
The return of 12 goals in 17 league outings for the Swedish giants soon secured him a move to Heerenveen, where he would go on to play the best football of his career, scoring remarkable 53 goals in 65 Eredivisie matches. Finnbogason somewhat struggled during spells with Real Sociedad and Olympiakos, but managed to kick-start his career at Augsburg, just in time to help Iceland on their first ever European championship appearance.
The prolific striker has been a member of the country’s national team since 2010, making over 30 appearances and scoring quite a few goals despite the fact that he was not always considered a first team regular.
Highlighted Team (Schalke):

Schalke 04 are a professional football club founded in 1904. Die Knappen (The Miners) compete in German Bundesliga and they have won seven domestic titles. Schalke have clinched five German Cup trophies as well, while lifting the UEFA Cup title in 1997. The German club defeated Italian side Inter on penalties in the title game and that was the last time the final of the competition was played in a two-legged format.
Schalke 04 play their home matches at Veltins-Arena, the stadium that has been the home of the team since 2001. The capacity of Veltins-Arena is 62,271. It is well known that Borussia Dortmund are Schalke’s main rivals and the Ruhy neighbours face each other in the Revierderby.
The likes of Klaus Fichtel (477), Norbert Nigbur (355), Rolf Russmann (304), Klaus Fischer (295), Olaf Thon (295) and Herbert Lutkebohmert (286) are the players with most appearances for die Knappen. The colour of Schalke’s home kit is blue.
