Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Mainz and Bayer Leverkusen face each other at Mewa Arena in the opening match of the Bundesliga round 23. Mainz aim to stay in the top half of the table, but they will have a mountain to climb in Friday’s football game. Die Nullfunfer, though, are tough to beat at home, with the team eyeing their fifth consecutive win in front of home fans. Both Jerry St. Juste and Niklas Tauer are sidelined with injuries for the home team.
Bayer Leverkusen, on the other hand, are on a four-game winning run in the national championship. Since both sides will go for a win in Friday’s clash, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Defender Mitchel Bakker serves a one-game ban, while both Karim Bellarabi and Jonathan Tah should miss out through illness. As always, a man to watch in the away team will be Patrik Schick, who has netted 19 goals in 19 appearances in the Bundesliga this term.
