Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
St. Pauli and Heidenheim square off against each other at Millerntor-Stadion in the closing match of the Bundesliga round 1. The newcomers are eager to impress on their return to the German top flight and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Heidenheim. Summer signing Fin Stevens is widely expected to make his St. Pauli debut in Sunday’s clash, while there are no injury worries in the home team.
The visitors, on the other hand, enjoyed a very successful preseason, with the team beating lower-league side Villingen in their German Cup opener. Heidenheim, though, are not regarded as good travellers, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on St. Pauli, who return to Bundesliga following a 13-year absence. Defender Thomas Keller should be the only absentee in the away team.
