Our prediction for this Championship match:
Huddersfield Town will be aiming to melt Bournemouth’s advantage in the Championship standings when they host QPR to their John Smith’s Stadium on Matchday 42. The Terriers aim to build on back-to-back wins over Hull City and Luton Town, with the team eyeing their third consecutive clean sheet, and they should take advantage of QPR’s poor form. All Ryan Schofield, Rolando Aarons, and Alex Vallejo are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Hoops, on the other hand, have slim playoffs chances, and given their five-game losing run in the English second tier, we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on Huddersfield. The likes of Chris Willock, Seny Dieng, and Jordan Archer are injured for the capital club.
Highlighted Player (Danny Ward):
Daniel Ward is a goalkeeper who was born on 22 June, 1993 in Wrexham, Wales. The 191-cm-tall shoot-stopper is a product of Wrexham Academy, but he did not make his senior debut for the club. After spending the 2010/2011 season at Tamworth, Danny Ward returned to Wrexham and on 30 January, 2012 he joined Liverpool for a fee of £100,000.
He made just two league appearances for the Anfield outfit and in 2015 he signed a loan deal with Morecambe. On 23 June he signed a new five-year deal with Liverpool, but he was soon sent on loan to Aberdeen. He played 21 games for the Scottish outfit and on 11 July, 2016 he signed a season-long deal with Championship team Huddersfield Town.
Danny Ward has 4 caps for Wales U21 team and he made his senior debut for the Dragons in a friendly against Northern Ireland on 24 March, 2016. Ward represented his homeland at the 2016 European Championship finals in France as he started the game against Slovakia.
Highlighted Team (QPR):
Queens Park Rangers are well known as QPR. The capital club was founded in 1886 and Loftus Road Stadium is QPR’s ground. Loftus Road Stadium was opened in 1904 and the capacity of the venue 18,439. However, it has to be noted that no less than 35,353 spectators watched the game between QPR and Leeds on 27 April, 1974.
The Hoops finished the 1975/1976 First Division campaign in second position in the standings, just behind champions Liverpool. This is considered the club’s biggest success, but Queens Park Rangers made it to the FA Cup final in 1982 as well.
QPR were beaten by fellow capital club Tottenham Hotspur in the title game, but they did well to lift the League Cup trophy in 1967. Queens Park’s main rivals are Brentford, Chelsea and Fulham, but other clubs based in London are considered QPR’s rivals as well. The colour of QPR’s shirts is blue and white.
