Our prediction for this Championship match:
Millwall play host to Hull City at the Den in a highly-anticipated Championship game. The Lions aim to keep their playoffs hopes alive, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach on Monday. Both Mason Bennett and Shaun Hutchinson are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. A man to watch in the home side will be Benik Afobe, who has netted ten goals in the league so far this term.
The Tigers, on the other hand, did well to secure yet another Championship survival. Hull City head into Monday’s clash following back-to-back wins over Middlesbrough and Cardiff City, but home win should be considered this time out as the Lions are desperate to secure a top-six finish. Both Randell Williams and Joshua Emmanuel are injured for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Shaun Hutchinson):
Shaun Hutchinson is a professional footballer who plays for Milwall as a centre-back. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne (England) on November 23, 1990, he began his youth career at Wallsend Boys Club. In 2007 he moved to Motherwell and he made his first-team debut for the Scottish club on May 16, 2009 against Hamilton Academical.
After making 121 appearances in the league for Motherwell, Shaun Hutchinson returned to England in 2014, signing a deal with Championship club Fulham. Hutchinson played no more than 30 games for the Cottagers before joining fellow capital club Millwall on June 21, 2016.
He made his debut for the Lions against Peterborough United on August 16, 2016 and he has been playing for the club ever since. Shaun Hutchinson’s main position is centre-back, but he is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well. The Millwall defender has a contract with the club which expires on June 30, 2018 and it has to be noted that his preferred foot is left.
Highlighted Team (Hull City):
Hull City are a professional football club that was founded back in 1904. The Tigers used to play their home games at Boothferry Park, but they moved to the KC Stadium in 2002. The stadium capacity is 24,450.
Hull impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and, as a result, they returned to the English Premier League. Hull City fans consider Leeds United their main rivals, but Sheffield United are regarded as Hull’s fierce rivals as well. Steve Bruce took over the reins at the club in 2012 and the experienced tactician helped the team book a place in the 2013/2014 FA Cup final, but Arsenal proved to be a big catch for the Tigers in the title decider.
Hull City finished the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign in 16th place in the standings to achieve their highest ever top flight finish. It has to be noted that Curtis Davies was named the team’s player of the year in the 2013/2014 season.
