Our prediction for this Championship match:
Peterborough United will be aiming to build on a 2-1 win over Hull City when they take on Queens Park Rangers at their Weston Homes Stadium. The Posh picked up vital three points from Wednesday’s relegation six-pointer, but they need to keep on raising their form if they are to secure the Championship survival. A man to watch in the home team will be Siriki Dembele, who did well to put an end to his goal drought.
The Hoops, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Blackburn. The capital club are eager to stay in the playoffs berth, and given their attacking potential, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. All Field, Owens, and Wallace are likely to miss out for the visitors, while Jones, Marriott, and Randall are out of contention for the hosts.
Highlighted Player (Mark Beevers):
Born in Barnsley, England on November 21, 1989, Mark Beevers is a 193-cm tall defender who plays for Peterborough United. The product of Sheffield Wednesday football school made 140 appearances in the league for the Owls before signing a permanent deal with fellow Championship club Millwall.
Mark Beevers scored 7 goals in 117 appearances for the Lions, playing for the club until the 2016 transfer window. The English defender then moved to Bolton where he scored 11 goals in 121 appearances in the league.
In May 2019 Mark Beevers signed a three-year deal with Peterborough United. He made his League One debut with the Posh in a 3-1 loss to Fleetwood Town on August 3, 2019. His main position is centre-back, but he is used as a left-back as well. His preferred foot is left and he has a contract with Peterborough United which should expire on June 30, 2022.
Highlighted Team (QPR):
Queens Park Rangers are well known as QPR. The capital club was founded in 1886 and Loftus Road Stadium is QPR’s ground. Loftus Road Stadium was opened in 1904 and the capacity of the venue 18,439. However, it has to be noted that no less than 35,353 spectators watched the game between QPR and Leeds on 27 April, 1974.
The Hoops finished the 1975/1976 First Division campaign in second position in the standings, just behind champions Liverpool. This is considered the club’s biggest success, but Queens Park Rangers made it to the FA Cup final in 1982 as well.
QPR were beaten by fellow capital club Tottenham Hotspur in the title game, but they did well to lift the League Cup trophy in 1967. Queens Park’s main rivals are Brentford, Chelsea and Fulham, but other clubs based in London are considered QPR’s rivals as well. The colour of QPR’s shirts is blue and white.
