Stoke City will be aiming to put an end to their eight-game winless run when they face Leeds United in the closing match of the Boxing Day program. The Potters do not seem to be at their sharpest, but Thursday’s clash could be the turning point for Narcis Pelach’s troops. Fit-again midfielder Lynden Gooch is pushing for a rare start, while Ben Pearson remains on the sidelines with injury.
The Whites, on the other hand, rolled over Oxford United 4-0 to stay in the automatic promotion berth, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to return to the Premier League. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Stoke City suffered a dip in form. The likes of Firpo, Gruev, and Wober remain in Leeds United’s treatment room, while Italy winger Wilfried Gnonto is pushing for a recall to the starting eleven.

Jack Bonham is a professional footballer who was born in Stevenage on the 14th of September, 1993. The 26-year-old, although having born in England, is an Irish International and has featured for the Republic of Ireland's Under-17 team five times.
At the club level, he began his youth career with Watford and signed his first professional contract in September 2010 at the age of 17. Bonham's first-ever professional appearance came on the 4th of May, 2013 as a substitute against Leeds United in the final game of the 12/13 Championship season.
This appearance marked the 1.92 m standing goalkeeper's only appearance in a Watford shirt. Bonham then went on to play for clubs like Brentford, Carlisle United and Bristol Rovers before eventually joining Gillingham at the start of the 2019 season on a two-year contract. He's since featured nine times for the club and kept two clean sheets.

Leeds United is one of the clubs that won the FA Cup. The Whites outplayed Arsenal in the final of the prestigious competition back in 1972, but they clinched the League Cup trophy as well. Leeds United faced the Gunners in the 1967/1968 League Cup final and it has to be noted that Terry Cooper scored the winner for the Whites.
Leeds play their home games at Elland Road and the capacity of the stadium is 37,914. The club was founded in 1919 and they have won three First Division (Premier League) trophies ever since (1968/1969, 1973/1974, 1991/1992). Leeds United made it to the Champions League final in 1975, but they were beaten by Bayern Munich in the title clash.
