Our prediction for this Championship match:
There will be fireworks when Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday face each other at bet365 Stadium on Matchday 24. Stoke City recorded only one win in the last six league fixtures, and, as a result, they are sitting in the relegation zone ahead of the Boxing Day clash. The Potters are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful first half of the season, but they will have a big fish to fry against the Owls.
Sheffield Wednesday have been producing splendid displays of late. Following a terrific 4-0 win at Nottingham Forest, the Owls registered a hard-fought 1-0 win over Bristol City in their last league fixture. Wales international Morgan Fox picked up a facial injury against the Robins, and he is rated doubtful for the Stoke City game. Anyhow, we predict that the high-flying visitors are going to extend their winning run in the Championship to three games on Boxing Day.

The defender plays for Huddersfield Town, but he used to play for the likes of Manchester City and Tranmere Rovers during his youth career as well. His main position is right back and it is no surprise he has yet to score for the Terriers, speaking of league games.
The defender, though, found scored his first goal for the Terries in the 5-2 FA Cup loss to Reading on 19 January, 2016. Tommy Smith made his Huddersfield Town debut on 31 August, 2013 in a 2-1 loss to Barnsley and he has been playing for the John Smith’s Stadium outfit ever since.
He has been struggling with injuries during his professional career and on 31 January, 2015 he was airlifted to hospital with head trauma following a colliding with Joe Murphy, the Huddersfield Town shoot-stopper. Tommy Smith has yet to play for the England national team.
Highlighted Team (Sheffield Wednesday):

Sheffield Wednesday are one of the two famous clubs from the city of Sheffield (South Yorkshire). The Owls compete in the English second tier (Championship) and they play their home matches at Hillsborough.
The venue was the scene of the Hillsborough disaster which occurred in 1989 when 96 Liverpool supporters were crushed to death in the FA Cup semi-final. It has to be noted that the World Cup (1966) and the Euro (1996) matches were played at Hillsborough.
Sheffield Wednesday have won four First Division trophies (1902/2903, 1903/1904, 1928/1929, 1929/2930) and they finished the 1960/1961 campaign in second place in the standings. The Owls have clinched three FA Cup trophies (1896, 1907, 1935), with the team winning the League Cup in 1991.
Sheffield Wednesday defeated English giants Manchester United (1-0) in the title game. Sheffield United are regarded as the Owls’ main rivals and the two teams face each other in the Steel City derby.
