Our prediction for this Championship match:
Swansea City and Sheffield United go head to head at Liberty Stadium in what is expected to be an interesting Championship game. The Swans suffered a 2-1 loss to Blackburn Rovers in the opening match of the season, with Andre Ayew, who left the club earlier this summer being sorely missed. In his absence, a man to watch in the home team will be Jamaica international Jamal Lowe, who is eager to open his goal-scoring account.
Both Wayne Routledge and Tivonge Rushesha have been struggling with injuries of late. The Blades, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Birmingham City. Sheffield United are determined to give fans something to cheer about, and seeing that they are likely to go for a win in Saturday’s clash as well, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Fit-again Scotland international Oliver McBurnie is pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Korey Smith):
After spending his youth career at Norwich City, Korey Smith made his first-team debut for the Canaries in January 2008 in the FA Cup clash against Charlton Athletic. Smith played 67 league games for Norwich City and he scored 4 goals for the club, but in 2013 he signed a two-year deal with Oldham Athletic.
The midfielder who was born on 31 January, 1991, scored one goal in 42 appearances for the club in the 2013/2014 campaign and on 27 June, 2014, he joined Bristol City for an undisclosed fee. It has to be noted that he won Johnstone’s Paint Trophy with the Robins in his first season with the team.
Korey Smith was born in Hatfield, England and he has two younger sisters, Alice and Harriet. Smith is a defensive midfielder, but he is capable of operating as central midfielder and right back as well. The Bristol City footballer also represented the likes of Barnsley and Yeovil Town (on loan) in the past.
Highlighted Team (Sheffield United):
Sheffield United are a professional football club that compete in the Championship. The Blades finished the 2016/2017 League One campaign in top position in the standings, with the team collecting exactly 100 points in the process. Sheffield United last competed in the Premier League in the 2006/2007 season and they were more than unfortunate not to secure the top flight survival.
The Blades finished the season in 18th place in the process and it has to be noted that they were level on points with Wigan Athletic, who managed to avoid the relegation to the English second tier. Sheffield United welcome their rivals at Bramal Lane, the stadium which was opened on April 30, 1855. The current capacity of the venue is 32.702.
The club have numerous rivalries, but the most notable one is the rivalry with their city neighbors Sheffield Wednesday. The two teams face each other in the Steel City derby and it has to be noted that United share rivalry with the likes of Barnsley, Rotherham United, Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United as well.
