Our prediction for this Championship match:
Following a routine 4-0 win over QPR in their Championship opener, Watford suffered a shocking loss to Stevenage in the EFL Cup round 1 on Tuesday evening. The Hornets aim to get back on course as soon as possible and Saturday’s clash against Plymouth seems like a good opportunity for Valerien Ismael’s men to do so. Jeremy Ngakia limped off with injury in the midweek defeat, with Ryan Andrews likely to step up, whilst there are no other selection worries in the home side.
The Pilgrims, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Huddersfield (3-1) and Leyton (2-0), but seeing that Watford are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we are not tempted to put our money on the underdogs. New Zealand forward Ben Waine is pushing for a start after scoring a brace in the EFL Cup win as well as Adam Randell, who was rested in the midweek clash.
