Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Atalanta will try to recover from a 3-2 loss to Napoli when they take on Sturm in the Champions League round 7. The Orobici aim to climb to top ten in the standings and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Fit-again striker Mateo Retegui is pushing for recall to the starting XI, while defender Sead Kolasinac is back from the Serie A ban. Gianluca Scammaca is unlikely to be risked.
Meanwhile, Die Schwoazn have collected only three points from possible 16 in the new Champions League campaign. Sturm defeated Girona 1-0 at home, but given their poor away record in the elite competition, we are tempted to bet on the Serie A side this time out. Talented midfielder Martin Kern remains in the recovery room, while defender Alexandar Borkovic is a major doubt and will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
