Our prediction for this Champions League match:
After surviving Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final, Barcelona will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they face Inter in the Champions League semis, first leg. Barca are enjoying a season to remember and, as a result, the bookies see them as No. 1 favourites to win the Champions League trophy. Despite Robert Lewandowski’s injury, home win should be considered as all Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Ferran Torres are likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line.
The likes of Alejandro Balde, Marc Bernal, and Marc Casado miss out with injuries as well. The Nerazzurri, on the other hand, have suffered a dip in form and given their poor performance in a 1-0 loss to Roma in the Serie A derby, home win should be considered. Forward Marcus Thuram remains in the treatment room, while defender Benjamin Pavard is rated doubtful for Wednesday’s encounter.
Highlighted Player (Hakan Calhanoglu):

Hakan Calhanoglu is another one in the long line of Turkish footballers who were born in Germany, so it is hardly surprising he came to prominence thanks to his performances in Bundesliga. The attacking midfielder with great vision and very good goalscoring record started his professional career at Karlsruher, scoring impressive 17 goals in 50 league outings to earn a move to Bundesliga side Hamburg.
The spell at Imtech Arena was merely a stepping stone for bigger things as 11 goals in his debut top flight campaign persuaded Bayer Leverkusen to splash nearly €15 million on his services. That proved a very good investment as Calhanoglu continued the rich vein of form, and it is now a matter of time before he joins one of European powerhouses.
The midfield maestro had a bright start to his career in the Turkey national team, scoring 5 goals in first 16 caps, and chances are he will become a leader for Milli Takim in the foreseeable future.
Highlighted Team (Barcelona):

Barcelona is a Spanish football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia. Barca were founded in 1899 and they are regarded as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Catalan giants won their 24th La Liga title in 2016, with Luis Suarez winning “El Pichichi” award. Barcelona have won five European Cup trophies and a number of top-class players were part of the team in the past.
The likes of Hristo Stoichkov, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona and Pep Guardiola are some of many players that played for Barca in the past, but, no doubt, Leo Messi has established himself as the club’s trademark. Barcelona welcome their rivals at Camp Nou, the stadium that was built in 1957.
Barcelona’s local rivals are Espanyol, but the rivalry between Barca and Real Madrid is much bigger. The two La Liga giants face each other in “El Clasico”, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Barca are famous for their football youth school La Masia as well.
