All eyes will be on Anfield when Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain face each other in the Champions League last 16, return leg. The Reds are eyeing their fifth consecutive win in all competitions, but they should be happy with a share of spoils this time out as well. As Liverpool defeated PSG 1-0 at Parc des Princes, they are likely to adopt a cautious approach in the return leg. Winger Cody Gakpo is fit for Tuesday’s clash, while both Joe Gomez and Connor Bradley remain in the recovery room.
Les Parisiens, on the other hand, were more than unfortunate not to find the net in the first leg. As PSG have no other option but to go all guns blazing at Liverpool, we are tempted to place our bets on over 2.5 goals. Luis Enrique has a full squad to choose from for the second leg. The opposition back-line should have Ousmane Dembele at bay as the former Barcelona ace scored a brace in a 4-1 win over Rennes.
Highlighted Player (Mohamed Salah):
Mohamed Salah is considered one of the best African players. Salah began his senior career at El Mokawloon, scoring 11 goals in 41 league appearances for the club and in 2012 he moved to Europe, signing a four-year deal with Swiss side Basel.
The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a striker as well was producing outstanding displays for the RotBlau from 2012 to 2014 and, as a result, Chelsea chiefs decided to sign him on 26 January, 2015 for a fee of £11 million. Mohamed Salah, though, failed to impress in the Premier league and one year later he was sent on loan to Fiorentina.
After making 16 league appearances for the Viola in the Serie A, the left-footed winger signed a loan deal with Roma on 6 August, 2015. The Romans made the contract permanent on 3 August, 2016. Speaking of his international career, Salah made his Egypt debut on 3 September, 2011 in a 2-1 loss to Sierra Leone. It has to be noted that he was named Roma’s player of the season (2015/2016).

Following heavy squad investments and team boosting, PSG won their first Ligue 1 title in 19 years with Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic almost singlehandedly leading his side towards the trophy with 30 goals. Having established domestic dominance, PSG now set their sights on winning the Champions League which remains an elusive dream for the club from Paris.
