There will be fireworks when Real Madrid and Barcelona go head to head in the Copa del Rey “El Clasico”. Los Blancos shared the spoils with Atletico Madrid in “El Madrileno”, with the team keeping their La Liga title hopes alive, but their performance against los Blancos was anything but good. All Rodrygo, David Alaba, and Ferland Mendy remain on the sidelines with injuries, while Luka Modric and Aurelien Tchouameni are widely expected to return to the starting XI.
Barca, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Almeria, and seeing that they have been low on spirits ever since the Europa League elimination to Man Utd, home win should be considered. Summer signing Raphihna has lost his place in the starting XI, while all Robert Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Pedri, and Ousmane Dembele remain are sidelined with injuries. Defender Ronald Araujo should be recalled to the starting XI.

Striker Karim Benzema came through his youth club Bron Terraillon in Olympique Lyon were he went through all the youth teams.
On January 15, 2005 Benzema made his debut for the first team of Lyon that season but did not have much playing time.
