Our prediction for this Coppa Italia match:
Fiorentina will be aiming to book their spot in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals when they take on Empoli in the local derby on Wednesday. The Viola look unstoppable at the moment, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Midfielder Edoardo Bove remains in the recovery room, while the likes of Sottil, Martinez Quarta, and Kayode are pushing for a start. As Fiorentina were not in action in the Serie A at the weekend, tired legs should not prove to be a problem for the home side.
The Azzurri, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to AC Milan and given Fiorentina’s excellent form in all competitions, home win should definitely be considered. To make things even worse for the away team, their injury list is pretty long, including the likes of Ebuehi, Fazzini, Grassi, Haas, and Sazonov, to name just a few.
