There will be fireworks when Hertha Berlin and Union Berlin face each other at Olympiastadion in the DFB Pokal last 16. Hertha have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team beating Borussia Dortmund, losing to Koln, while sharing the spoils with Wolfsburg. All Selke, Boyata, and Tousart are pushing for a start, while all Bjorkan, Jarstein, and Jovetic are out of contention through injuries.
Union Berlin, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Hoffenheim. Urs Fischer’s troops, though, often struggle on the travels, which is the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on draw. Awoniyi is on international duty with Nigeria, while all Dehl, Wszolek, Van Drongelen, and Giesselmann should miss the DFB Pokal clash through injuries. Under 2.5 goals have been netted in three of the previous five meetings between the two sides.

A product of Freiburg academy, Alexander Schwolow was forced to work for his place under the spotlight and it wasn’t until his loan spell in the Third Division with Armenia Bielefeld in 2014 that Schwolow earned his place between the sticks at his parent club. His stock went through a rapid rise in 2016/17 campaign when Alexander Schwolow played a great part in his team’s seventh-place finish and a place in the UEFA Europa league qualification.
Schwolow’s impressive goalkeeping exploits got his name written in the notebook of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and it is fair to say we could see his move abroad in foreseeable future. Alexander Schwolow represented Germany in U18, U19 and U20 categories but has yet to earn a senior cap.
