Our prediction for this EFL Cup match:
A spot in the EFL Cup quarter-finals will be at stake when Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest face each other at Ewood Park. The Riversiders did well to shock Norwich City (2-0) in their last league match, meaning that they are high on spirits ahead of the visit of Forest. Keep in mind, though, that all Callum Brittain, Jack Vale, and Sam Barnes should miss out with injuries.
Meanwhile, the Reds defeated Crystal Palace thanks to Morgan Gibbs-White in their last Premier League game, but beating Blackburn on the road is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the cards at Ewood Park, and we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on draw. As for the away side, midfielder Orel Mangala is back from suspension, while defensive trio Toffolo – Niakhate – Biancone remains in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Bradley Dack):
Born in Greenwich, England on December 31, 1993, Bradley Dack is a midfielder who plays for Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. Bradley Dack began his youth career at Charlton Athletic back in 2005 and five years later he moved to Corinthian. However, the English footballer started his senior career at Gillingham, making his league debut against Bradford City on August 18, 2012. 20 days later he scored his first senior goal as he found the net in Football League trophy clash against Crawley Town.
Before joining Blackburn Rovers on June 27, 2017 Bradley Dack played four games on loan for Braintree Town, scoring one goal in those league games. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is used as both right and left midfielder as well. Dack once described himself as “free role behind two strikers”.
The Blackburn Rovers midfielder often finds the net and it has to be noted that he scored 16 goals in 36 appearances for the Riversiders in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
Highlighted Team (Nottingham Forest):
Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865. They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0).
Nottingham Forest won the national championship in the 1977/1978 season, with the team finishing the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Liverpool. To make things even better for the fans, the City Ground outfit clinched the FA Cup trophies in 1898 and 1959. Derby County are regarded as Forest’s bitterest rivals and the two local rivals contest in the East Midlands derby. In their first ever meeting in the local derby Forest recorded a 3-2 win over Derby County.
