Following a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, Burnley will look to return to winning ways when they face Cardiff City in the EFL Cup last 32. The Clarets are seen as hot favourites to win Tuesday’s clash, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. All Amdouni, Beyer, and Roberts are out of contention with injuries, while midfielder Jacob Bruun Larsen is a major doubt and will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
The Bluebirds, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-1 loss to Bradford City and given their shaky defence, we predict that Burnley are going to book their spot in the EFL Cup last 16. Experienced forward Callum Robinson is widely expected to return to the Cardiff City starting XI after scoring as a substitute in the last League One game.
