Our prediction for this EFL Cup match:
There will be fireworks when Crystal Palace and Millwall face each other in a small London derby in the EFL Cup last 32. The Eagles have been impressive at the back in the Premier League of late and we predict that they will continue relying on their rock-solid defence in Tuesday’s clash. Summer signing Christantus Uche is pushing for his full Crystal Palace debut, while all Ismaila Sarr, Cheick Doucoure, and Chadi Riad remain on the sidelines with injuries.
The Lions, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic. Millwall, though, are not regarded as good travellers and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Palace’s party at Selhurst Park. When the two teams met in the FA Cup earlier this year, Crystal Palace recorded a routine 3-1 win over Millwall. The Lions’ injury list is pretty long, including the likes of Azeez, De Norre, Doughty, Jensen, Lamptey, McNamara, and Mitchell.
Highlighted Player (Jean-Philippe Mateta):

A talented French youngster Jean-Philippe Mateta worked his way up through football’s less glamorous landscapes plying his trade at local amateur sides and third-tier outfits before Ligue 1 giants Lyon took notice of his 11 goals in 22 matches and brought him to the big league.
Having failed to make it into the first team in a debut season with Les Gones, Mateta was shipped out to Le Havre, leading the club to promotion play-offs. Bundesliga side Mainz took notice of his ability and came calling in the summer of 2018 after he bagged 17 goals in 35 league matches. An imposing physical presence at his 192cm, Mateta is a mobile forward and a decent dribbler who can finish with both of his feet.
Having worked his way up from the very bottom, Jean-Philippe Mateta is a committed individual determined to make a name for himself. His impressive goalscoring record got rewarded in the form of France U19 call-up in 2017.
Highlighted Team (Millwall):

Based in Bermonsdey, South East London, Millwall are a football club whose supporters have often been associated with hooliganism. West Ham United are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two teams.
The Lions share rivalry with Charlton as well and the two teams first met back in 1921. The Den is Milwall’s home ground at the capacity of the stadium, which was opened in 1993, is 20.146.
The capital club did well to make it to the 2003/2004 FA Cup final, but Premier League giants Manchester United proved to be a big catch for the Lions. The Red Devils won the game 3-0, but despite suffering the heavy loss in the title game, Milwall booked their place in the UEFA Cup. However, Ferencvaros of Hungary proved to be a big catch for the English outfit in the two-legged tie.
Australia international Tim Cahill is considered one of the most notable footballers who whore Millwall shirt (1998-2004).
