Following an unexpected 5-1 loss to Sutton in the League Two round 1, Notts County will look to give fans something to cheer about when they take on Lincoln in the EFL Cup. The Magpies are low on confidence ahead of Tuesday’s game, but the bookies still see them as favourites to advance to round 2. Aidan Stone misses out through suspension, with fellow shot-stopper Sam Slocombe likely to step up.
The Imps, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Bolton, meaning that a high-scoring affair is on the cards at Meadow Lane. Anyhow, both teams to score betting option should be considered as both sides are eager to return to winning ways. Forward Reeco Hackett-Fairchild is widely expected to return to Lincoln’s starting XI after coming as a substitute in the League One opener at the weekend.
