Rochdale
Sheffield Wednesday will be aiming to build on a 2-0 win over Bolton when they take on Rochdale in the EFL Cup last 64. The Owls are on a quest to return to the Championship, but they have big ambitions for the 2022/2023 EFL Cup campaign as well. Akin Famewo misses Tuesday’s clash with injury, while Jack Hunt has yet to recover from illness. Reece James continues to miss out through suspension.
The Dale, on the other hand, made a slow start to the season, with the team losing each of their first five games of the process. The manager-less visitors are low on spirits ahead of the trip to Sheffield; therefore, we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling the Owls’ party at Hillsborough. All Luke Charman, Jimmy Keohane, and Tahvon Campbell are out of contention with injuries for the away side.
Highlighted Player (Bailey Peacock-Farrell):
Despite being born in Darlington, England on October 29, 1996, Bailey Peacock-Farrell represents Northern Ireland at senior level. The Northern Ireland international started his youth career at Middlesbrough, but in 2013 he joined Leeds United. The talented goalkeeper continued playing for Leeds United senior team and, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of him.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell made his first-team debut for the Whites on April 5, 2016 in a home game against Queens Park Rangers. The two played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road and it has to be noted that the goalkeeper conceded a penalty kick in the 87th minute of the match. The 192-cm tall shot-stopper has a contract with Leeds United which should expire on June, 2020.
As previously mentioned, the Leeds United goalkeeper represents Northern Ireland on the international stage, qualifying for the national team thanks to his grandfather Jim Farreell, who was born in Enniskillen.

Nicknamed the Dale, Rochdale are a professional English club that compete in the League One (English third tier). Rochdale were founded back in 1907, after World War I, with the team beating Accrington Stanley 6-3 in their first league game 14 years later.
The Dale wear blue shirts with black stripes and blue shorts when playing at home, whilst gray is the dominant colour of their away kit. Spotland Stadium is the club’s home ground, with the venue holding no more than 10,249 spectators. Bury and Oldham Athletic are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, but they have built up rivalries with the likes of Halifax Town, Burnley, Stockport County, Wigan Athletic and Accrington Stanley as well.
Back in 1962 Rochdale made it to the Football League Cup final, with the team facing Norwich City in the title game. The Canaries proved to be a big catch for the Dale, but this is still considered the club’s biggest success. It has to be noted that the Spotland Stadium outfit have three Lancashire Cup titles as well (1948/1949, 1970/1971, 2004/2005).
