Our prediction for this Euro 2024 match:
High-flying Spain will be aiming to keep their 100% record at EURO 2024 intact when they face Georgia in the last 16. La Furia Roja won Group B without any difficulties and they are seen as hot favourites to win Sunday’s clash as well. Luis de la Fuente is going to field the best possible side this time out after resting several first-team regulars in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Albania. The good news for the hosts is that Man City ace Rodri is back from suspension, while both Ayoze Perez and Nacho Fernandez are facing race against the clock to be fit for the Georgia game.
Willy Sagnol’s troops, on the other hand, did well to shock star-studded Portugal on Wednesday to book their spot in the knockout stages. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Co, though, will have a much bigger fish to fry against Spain, who are seen as one of the main candidates to win the European Championship trophy. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team ahead of the trip to Koln.
