Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
AZ Alkmaar will be looking to get their revenge on Dundee United when the two teams face each other at AFAS Stadion in the Conference League third qualifying round, return leg. AZ failed to impress in the Tannadice Park clash, but they are still seen as hot favourites to advance to the playoffs. The Dutch side proved their worth in a 2-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles at the weekend, and they are surely capable of overcoming the one-goal deficit in the Conference League tie with Dundee United.
As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Greece international Vangelis Pavlidis, who has already opened his goal-scoring account in the 2022/2023 Jupiler League season, while all Bazoer, Karlsson, Odgaard, Sugawara, and Vanheusden should miss out with injuries. Anyhow, home win should be considered as AZ Alkmaar have turned their AFAS Stadion into a real fortress. Both Behich and Pawlett are injured for the Scottish outfit.
Highlighted Player (Jordy Clasie):
Jordy Clasie is a product of the Feyenoord youth academy who plays for AZ Alkmaar as a midfielder. His main position is defensive midfield, but he is capable of producing fine displays as both central midfielder and centre-back as well.
