Thursday’s football game at Kosicka futbalova arena in Kosice pits together Dnipro and AZ Alkmaar. The Ukrainian side failed to impress in the Europa League double-header with AEK Larnaca, and, as a result, they will compete in the Conference League this term. Dnipro did well to beat Veres-Rivne in the national championship, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against AZ Alkmaar.
The Eredivisie outfit, on the other hand, faced no difficulties in a 3-0 win over Emmen. Despite the fact that key attacker Pavlidis suffered an injury, away win should be considered as the game will be played on a neutral location. In Pavlidis’ absence, Jens Odgaard will continue to lead the line for the Dutch side. It has to be noted that the two clubs meet for the first time ever in European competitions.

Bruno Martins Indi had been deemed a victim to the extreme recolution in Porto’s central defensive department, having fallen out of favour with Nuno Espirito Santo and even being punished with a place in Porto’s reserves.
During the summer transfer window the 24-year-old defender insisted on a move away from the club with Premier League being his preferred destination. On the final day of the transfer marked Bruno Martins Indi has been set to Stoke City on a season long loan.

AZ Alkmaar are a professional football club that play their home matches at AFAS Stadion. The venue was opened on 4 August, 2006 and the construction of the stadium cost €38 million. AFAS Stadion is able to hold 17 023 spectators.
