Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Fiorentina will look to defend their slim lead in the Conference League tie with Celje when the two teams face each other at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday. The Viola won the first leg 2-1 and, as a result, they are with one foot in the Conference League semis. Bear in mind, though, that all Matias Moreno, Dodo, and Nicolo Zaniolo are banned for the second leg.
Albert Riera’s men, on the other hand, face an uphill task in the return leg. As Celje are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the decider, we predict that Fiorentina are going to seal the victory on the break. Both Nejc Ajhmajer and Armandas Kucys are out of contention with injuries for the visiting team. French midfielder Clement Lhernault is a major doubt after limping off with injury in a 2-1 win over Mura at the weekend.
