Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Slavia Prague will be looking to clinch top position in Group G when they take on Servette in the last group game. The Czechs did well to beat Sheriff Tiraspol 3-2 two weeks ago and they are seen as hot favourites to pick up all three points from Thursday’s encounter as well. All Pech, Jurasek, and Masopust are sidelined with injuries, while Nigeria international Ogungbayi misses out with heart problems. Both Boril and Provod have been struggling with illness of late.
Servette, on the other hand, missed out on a spot in the Europa League knockout stages, but thanks to a 1-1 draw with AS Roma they secured a place in the Conference League last 32. The visitors, though, have nothing to play for in Thursday’s clash, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team ahead of the trip to Prague.
Highlighted Team (Slavia Prague):
Slavia Prague is considered one of the most famous teams in Czech Republic. The Cervenobili won the Czechoslovak First League on 13 occasions and they lifted their fourth Czech First League in 2017. Despite winning the domestic trophy in the 2016/2017 season, Slavia Prague eventually failed to book their place in the Champions League group stages as they were beaten by APOEL of Cyprus in the play-offs. Sparta Prague are regarded as Slavia’s fiercest rivals and the two teams face each other in the Prague derby.
The club was founded on November 2, 1892 and it has to be noted that the club was initially focused on cycling. In March 1896 Slavia Prague recorded their first ever victory, with the team beating AC Prague 5-0. The Cervenobili play their home games at Eden Arena and the capacity of the venue is 19.084 (football). Slavia Prague are well known for their red and white shirts and white shorts.
