Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Out-of-sorts West Bromwich Albion will be looking to give fans something to cheer about when they take on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road in their FA Cup opener. The Baggies did well to hold Man City and Liverpool to a draw in the Premier League, but they head into the FA Cup clash following back-to-back heavy defeats to Leeds (0-5) and Arsenal (0-4). Sam Allardyce’s men are eager to regain a much-needed confidence, and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at the Seasiders.
Blackpool suffered three defeats in the previous four league fixtures, and given the importance of Saturday’s match for WBA, we do not believe that the League One side will make it to the last 32. In their last meeting in a competitive match West Bromwich Albion defeated Blackpool 3-2. Charlie Austin is widely expected to return to the WBA starting XI.
