Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Saturday’s FA Cup game at the Valley pits together Charlton Athletic and Stockport County, the two teams who meet for the first time since March 2010. The Red Robins failed to win the previous four league matches, and they must be low on spirits following the EFL Trophy loss to Plymouth. Joseph Wollacott remains on the sidelines with injury for the capital club.
Meanwhile, Stockport aim to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Leyton Orient. The Hatters rolled over Swindon Town 4-0 in their FA Cup opener, but beating Charlton in London is easier said than done. Taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. There are no fresh selection worries in the away side ahead of the FA Cup game, but forward Oliver Crankshaw should be recalled to the starting XI.
Highlighted Player (Jake Forster-Caskey ):
Born in Southend-on-Sea, England on April 25, 1994 Jake Forster-Caskey is a midfielder who plays for Charlton Athletic in the League One. Forster-Caskey started his both youth and senior careers at Brighton & Hove Albion and it has to be noted that he scored five goals in 67 league appearances for the Seagulls first team.
After spending a couple of seasons on loan at the likes of Oxford United, Milton Keynes Dons and Rotherham United, the English footballer signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Charlton Athletic in the winter of 2017. Jake quickly established himself as a first-team regular at the capital club, scoring 5 goals in 43 appearances in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
However, he was out of contention for most of the 2018/2019 season with a serious knee injury. His main position is central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both defensive and left midfielder as well.
