Our prediction for this FIFA Club World Cup match:
MetLife Stadium will be the centre of attention when Palmeiras and Al Ahly go head to head in Group A. Palmeiras played out a goalless draw with Porto in their FIFA Club World Cup opener and, no doubt, they are determined to register their first win of the process on Thursday evening. Paraguay defender Gustavo Gomez is one yellow card away from suspension, while both Raphael Veiga and Paulinho are in line for recalls to the starting XI.
Al Ahly, on the other hand, did well to hold Leo Messi’s Inter Miami to a goalless draw in their opener. The Egyptians, though, will have a much bigger fish to fry against Estevao and Co. and given the number of top-class players in Abel Ferreira’s team, home win should be considered. Al Ahly midfielder Emam Ashour limped off with injury in the Group A opener, with Zizo being ready to step up.
