Grenada
Honduras will be aiming to kick off their 2021 Gold Cup campaign in great manner when they face Grenada at BBVA Compass Stadium in Group D. Los Catrachos did well to hold Mexico to a goalless draw in their last warm-up game, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as hot favourites to win their opener. Experienced attacker Jerry Bengston is still part of the Honduras national team, and we are positive that the 34-year-old will prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
Grenada, on the other hand, failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup finals, and seeing that they struggle in front of goal, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. When the two teams met at the Gold Cup finals, back in 2011, Honduras rolled over Grenada 7-1, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.
