Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Weavers Park will host Friday’s football game between Drogheda United and Sligo Rovers, the two teams who are almost level on points in the Premier Division standings. Drogheda aim to build on a 3-1 win over UCD, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Sligo Rovers. With no fresh injury worries to report, boss Kevin Doherty is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated UC Dublin.
The visitors, on the other hand, rolled over Cork City 3-0 in their last league match and they are now on a quest to get their revenge on Drogheda for the FAI Cup defeat. Since the away team will go for a win as well, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Sligo’s injury list is pretty long, including the likes of Hutchinson, Finnerty, O’Sullivan, Boylan, Byrne, and Buckley.
