Cambridge United and Bristol Rovers square off against each other at Abbey Stadium in what is expected to be an interesting League One game. The U’s were hammered by Sheffield Wednesday (0-5) on Monday, with the team remaining in the danger zone, and, no doubt, Saturday’s clash is of big importance for Mark Bonner’s troops. The Pirates, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Cheltenham Town, and we predict that they will take advantage of Cambridge United’s shaky defence.
A man to watch in the away team will be Aaron Collins, who has netted 13 goals in the League One this term, while Joey Barton could recall defender Luca Hoole into the starting line-up against the U’s. In their last meeting in the League One Bristol Rovers defeated Cambridge United 2-1, which is yet another reason why away win should be considered.

Born in Cambridge, England on July 31, 1993, Liam O’Neil is an English footballer who plays as both defender as midfielder for Cambridge United in the League Two. O’Neil is a product of the Cambridge United football school, but he played for Histon during his youth career as well.
In the summer of 2012 he joined WBA youth academy, and it has to be noted that he made three appearances for the Baggies at senior level in all competitions. Liam O’Neil played for the likes of VPS and Scunthorpe United on loan as well before joining Chesterfield in 2015.
After scoring two goals in 45 appearances for the club in the league, O’Neil moved to Cambridge United in the winter of 2017. As his mother comes from Wales, O’Neil is open to play for the Wales national team, but he has yet to earn a cap with the Dragons.

Established back on August 1, 1883, Bristol Rovers are one of the oldest clubs in the League One. Bristol Rovers were formed after a meeting at the Eastville Restaurant under the name of Black Arabs after the Arabs rugby team.
This name, though, lasted no more than one season as the club was renamed Eastville Rovers in 1884. Five years later the club’s name was officially changes to Bristol Rovers. Nicknamed the Pirates, Bristol Rovers welcome their opponents at Memorial Stadium Horfield, the venue with the capacity of 12,296. Bristol Rovers are well known for their blue and white home kit, but they are dressed in yellow when playing on the travels.
Ricky Lambert, who used to play for the likes of Southampton and Liverpool in the Premier League, is regarded as one of the club’s most notable footballers. It has to be noted that Lambert scored 51 goals in 128 appearances for the Pirates in the league.
