Our prediction for this League 1 match:
In-form Peterborough will be aiming to extend their winning run to three games when they take on Northampton Town on Matchday 27. The Posh are eager to keep their automatic promotion hopes alive and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at the Cobblers. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Ephron Mason-Clark, who produced a brilliant performance in a 2-1 win over Exeter, while Jeandro Fuchs remains in the recovery room. Ricky-Jade Jones is a major doubt.
The visitors, meanwhile, are undefeated in the previous four league matches. Northampton did well to beat Burton 2-0 in their last away game, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against the promotion-chasing hosts. Ben Fox should be recalled to the starting XI, while Danny Hylton, Ali Koiki, Tyler Magloire, and Akin Odimayo continue to miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Team (Peterborough):
Founded in 1934, Peterborough United are a professional club that competes in the League One. The Posh play their home games at London Road Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 15,314. Peterborough’s home colour is blue, whilst the colour of their away kit is blue. The Posh have the third kit as well where yellow and black are the dominant colours.
Peterborough United’s biggest success came in the 1964/1965 when the club booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Chelsea, though, proved to be a big catch for the Posh, beating them 5-1 in London. It has to be noted that Peterborough United made it to the Football League Cup semis in the 1965/1966 season, with the team losing to WBA in the two-legged tie.
The likes of Cambridge United and Northampton Town are considered the club’s main rivals. The Posh have built a rivalry with Huddersfield Town, with fans seeing MK Dons as rivals as well.
