Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Peterborough will look to build on a 2-1 win over Exeter when they take on Wrexham in the League One round 4. The Posh have been scoring goals for fun of late and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against Wrexham. The Dragons, on the other hand, rolled over Reading 3-0 in their last league match, with the team producing yet another splendid display at home ground.
Wrexham, though, are not regarded as good travellers and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Peterborough’s party at Weston Homes Stadium. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, with Phil Parkinson having a full squad at the disposal as well. In their last meeting in a competitive match, back in February 2008, Peterborough defeated Wrexham 2-0 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself.
Highlighted Team (Peterborough):
Founded in 1934, Peterborough United are a professional club that competes in the League One. The Posh play their home games at London Road Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 15,314. Peterborough’s home colour is blue, whilst the colour of their away kit is blue. The Posh have the third kit as well where yellow and black are the dominant colours.
Peterborough United’s biggest success came in the 1964/1965 when the club booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Chelsea, though, proved to be a big catch for the Posh, beating them 5-1 in London. It has to be noted that Peterborough United made it to the Football League Cup semis in the 1965/1966 season, with the team losing to WBA in the two-legged tie.
The likes of Cambridge United and Northampton Town are considered the club’s main rivals. The Posh have built a rivalry with Huddersfield Town, with fans seeing MK Dons as rivals as well.
