Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Portsmouth play host to Morecambe at their Fratton Park on day 22 of the new League One campaign. The Pompey head into the match following a goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday, but given their brilliant form in November, home win should definitely be considered. Clark Robertson continues to miss out with injury, while both Ryan Tunnicliffe and Paul Downing are out of contention with injuries.
Morecambe, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in back-to-back losses to MK Dons (0-4) and Sunderland (0-5), and seeing that Portsmouth are eager to stay in the promotion race, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. You should bear in mind, though, that Portsmouth are eyeing their first win over Morecambe since November 22, 2014 when the Pompey outplayed the Shrimps 3-0 at Fratton Park.
