Sunderland will be aiming to regain their spot in top two when they take on Oxford United at Stadium of Light. While Black Cats were struggling in the first half of the season, they have been impressive in 2021, and it is no surprise the bookies see them as hot favourites to win Friday’s football match. Top scorer Charlie Wyke, who has netted 22 goals in the League One so far this season, will be the man to watch in the home team.
The Yellows, on the other hand, have been struggling on the travels of late, with the team losing to both Hull City and Northampton Town in the previous two away fixtures. Since Sunderland are high on spirits ahead of the Stadium of Light clash, we are tempted to put our money on the promotion-chasing hosts. Oxford midfielder Josh Ruffels is likely to miss the game with injury.
