Rochdale
Colchester and Rochdale face each other at Colchester Community Stadium in the League Two round 26. The U’s do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team failing to win the previous four league fixtures. Considering that Colchester failed to impress in a 3-1 loss to Crawley, we are not tempted to put our money on the hosts. The Dale, on the other hand, aim to build on a thrilling 3-0 win over Newport.
The visitors have not been in action in the League Two since December 18, 2021, but head coach Robbie Stockdale has no more coronavirus worries. Since Colchester United have been struggling to find their best form of late, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting side. In their last meeting at the venue the Dale defeated the U’s 2-1, which is yet another reason why away win should be considered.
Highlighted Player (Frank Nouble):
Born in Lewisham, London on September 24, 1991, Frank Nouble is a product of the Chelsea football academy. Despite spending his youth career at the capital club, he did not see any game action with the Blues at senior level. Frank Nouble started his senior career at West Ham United, but he made no more than 13 league appearances for the Hammers.
Nowadays, he plays for Colchester United in the League Two. Frank Nouble, who has eight caps with the England U19 team, made his debut with the U’s on August 4, 2018, in a goalless draw with Notts County. He scored his first goal with Colchester United on September 15, 2018, in a 3-0 victory over Cambridge United.
Nouble’s primary position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. The 190-cm-tall footballer wears the number 45 jersey at Colchester United, and his preferred foot is right.

Nicknamed the Dale, Rochdale are a professional English club that compete in the League One (English third tier). Rochdale were founded back in 1907, after World War I, with the team beating Accrington Stanley 6-3 in their first league game 14 years later.
The Dale wear blue shirts with black stripes and blue shorts when playing at home, whilst gray is the dominant colour of their away kit. Spotland Stadium is the club’s home ground, with the venue holding no more than 10,249 spectators. Bury and Oldham Athletic are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, but they have built up rivalries with the likes of Halifax Town, Burnley, Stockport County, Wigan Athletic and Accrington Stanley as well.
Back in 1962 Rochdale made it to the Football League Cup final, with the team facing Norwich City in the title game. The Canaries proved to be a big catch for the Dale, but this is still considered the club’s biggest success. It has to be noted that the Spotland Stadium outfit have three Lancashire Cup titles as well (1948/1949, 1970/1971, 2004/2005).
