Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Exeter City will be looking to regain their spot in top seven when they host Southend United at their St. James’s Park on Matchday 42. Exeter City have been having their ups and downs of late, but their display in a 2-1 loss to Barrow was anything but poor. The Grecians are likely to go all-out attack in Saturday’s clash against Southend United, with both Seymour and Page pushing for a start.
The Seasiders, on the other hand, are fighting hard to secure the League Two survival, with the team sitting in the penultimate position in the table ahead of round 42. Southend United, though, are on a three-game winless run in the English fourth tier, and given the importance of Saturday’s clash for Exeter City, home win should be considered. In the first half of the season the two teams played out a 2-2 draw.
