Our prediction for this League 2 match:
High-flying Gillingham will look to extend their winning run to five games when they take on Colchester on Saturday afternoon. The Gills are eager to keep their fifth consecutive clean sheet and they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence against Colchester. Barring any fresh injury worries, Neil Harris is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Crawley Town 1-0 at the weekend.
The U’s, on the other hand, made a slow start to the season, with the team losing each of their first three league fixtures. Considering that Colchester experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to MK Dons, we are tempted to put our money on the in-form hosts. In their last meeting in the English fourth tier Gillingham defeated Colchester 2-0, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered. A man to watch in the away team will be Joe Taylor, who scored a brace in the last league match.
