Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Grimsby Town will be aiming to build on the EFL Cup win over Shrewsbury Town when they take on Newport County in the League Two round 3. The Mariners have been scoring goals for fun of late and they will stick to their attacking style of play against Newport. A man to watch in the home team will be summer signing Jaze Kabia, who has already started paying off. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Exiles, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs at the start of the new League Two campaign. Anyhow, we are tempted to place our bets on Grimsby, that look sharp up front. Important defender Lee Jenkins returns to the Newport starting eleven after coming as a substitute in the EFL Cup loss to Milwall, while forward Gerard Garner remains in the treatment room.
