Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Mansfield Town and Grimsby Town go head to head at One Call Stadium in the opening match of the League Two round 24. The Yellows aim to build on back-to-back wins over Crawley Town and Sutton and they are seen as hot favourites to win the Boxing Day clash. Alfie Kilgour remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury, but there are no fresh selection worries in the home team.
The visitors, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 2-1 loss to Harrogate, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the home side. As for the away team, midfielder Kieran Green should be recalled to the starting XI after scoring as a substitute in the last league fixture. Charles Vernam is closing in on a return, but the midweek clash comes too early for the 27-year-old.
