Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Morecambe and Bradford City go head to head at Globe Arena in the last game of the season. Morecambe are only one point behind automatic promotion places, meaning that they have no other choice but to go all-out attack in the decider. The Shrimps proved their worth in a 2-0 win over Walsall, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to win Saturday’s clash.
A man to watch in the home team will be Cole Stockton, who has netted 12 goals in the League Two this season. The Bantams, on the other hand, do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team suffering five defeats in the previous six league fixtures. Considering that Bradford City have little to play for in the last match of the season, we are tempted to put our money on Morecambe.
Highlighted Player (A-Jay Leitch-Smith):
Born in Crewe, England on March 6, 1990, A-Jay Leitch-Smith is a professional footballer who plays for Morecambe as a forward. Leitch-Smith is a product of the Crewe Alexandra football academy, and it has to be noted that he made 103 appearances for the club’s first team.
After spending several seasons on loan at Halifax Town, Newcastle Town, IBV, and Curzon Ashton, the English footballer joined Yeovil Town on a permanent basis in the 2014/2015 season. A-Jay Leitch-smith played for the likes of Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town, and Dundee (loan) as well before moving to his current club Morecambe.
Leitch-Smith is a very intelligent and creative attacker with good technical abilities. His preferred foot is centre-forward, but he is used as both second striker and right winger as well. The English footballer, who wears the number 28 jersey at Morecambe, has a contract with the Shrimps until June 30, 2021.
