Troyes
Following an unlucky defeat to PSG in the Ligue 1 derby, Olympique Lyon will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Troyes to their Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Wednesday evening. Les Gones aim to melt PSG’s advantage in the Ligue 1 standings, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the newcomers. Even though all Mendes, Dembele, Kadewere, Dubois, Pintor, and Reine-Adelaide remain in the recovery room, home win should be considered as Olympique Lyon’s display in the defeat to Leo Messi and Co. was pretty good.
Troyes, on the other hand, face an uphill task in the midweek clash, and given their seven-game losing run in meetings with Lyon, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. In their last meeting at the venue Lyon outclassed Troyes 3-0. All Larouci, Metinho, Ripart, and Suk Hyun-Jun miss out with injuries for the visitors.

Karl Toko Ekambi is a professional footballer who plays for Ligue 1 club Angers as a striker. Ekambi was born in Paris on September 14 1992, but he does not represent les Tricolores on the international stage. The 183-cm-tall attacker plays for Cameroon and it has to be noted that he made his senior debut for les Lions Indomptables in a 3-2 win over Burkina Faso back in June, 2015.
Ekambi came as a substitute in the 77th minute of the match, replacing fellow attacker Mengolo. The Cameroonian footballer played for Paris FC during his youth career and he made his first-team debut for the capital club on April 26, 2011 in a 2-2 draw with Beauvais. Karl Toko Ekambi scored 21 goals in 66 appearances for Paris from 2010 to 2014 and at the end of the 2013/2014 season he joined Sochaux.
After netting 25 goals in 72 appearances for the club, in the summer of 2016 Ekambi signed a contract with Angers which expires on June 30, 2020.

Founded in 1986, Troyes are considered one of the youngest clubs in French Ligue 1. Troyes returned to the top flight at the end of the 2016/2017 season, with the team finishing the regular season in third place in the Ligue 2 standings. Jean Louis Garcia’s men proved their worth in the promotion play-offs, with the team beating Lorient in the two-legged tie.
Troyes are well known for their blue shirts, but they wear white when playing on the travels. Stade de l’Aube is the club’s home ground and the stadium can hold up to 20.400 spectators. The venue was built in 1924, but it was renovated on two occasions (1956, 2004). The club have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy, but in 1956 they made it to the French Cup final.
Troyes faced Sedan in the title game and they were totally outplayed by Louis Dugauguez’s troops (3-1) at Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir. Roger Courtois’ team were three goals down after 57 minutes, but five minutes later Fernand De Vlaeminck scored a consolation goal for the Stade de l’Aube outfit.
