Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Stade Geoffroy-Guichard will host Friday’s football game between St. Etienne and Angers. Les Verts played out a goalless draw with Dijon at the weekend, with the team extending their winless run in the Ligue 1 to ten games. St Etienne are desperate to return to winning ways in the French top flight, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for the home side. Fit-again Tunisia international Wahbi Khazri will be the man to watch in the home team.
Angers, on the other hand, have been producing fine performances in the first half of the season, with the team sitting in the top half of the table ahead of Matchday 14. Les Scoistes aim to build on back-to-back wins over Lens and Lorient, and given the current atmosphere in the home team’s dressing room, away win should be considered. Important defender Souleyman Doumbia is back from suspension for the visitors.
