Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Saint-Etienne and Olympique Lyon, the two bitter rivals, face each other at Derby du Rhone in what is expected to be a real football festival. Les Verts did well to regain a much-needed confidence at the weekend, with the team beating Nimes on the road, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Sunday’s football match against their fierce local rivals.
Les Gones, on the other hand, just can’t find their best form in the 2019/2020 Ligue 1 season, with the team sitting in 11th place in the standings ahead of the local derby. Anyhow, both teams are likely to go for a win in the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard clash and we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. In their last meeting in the French top flight Olympique Lyon emerged triumphant, but given their poor form, there is a big value on draw this time out.

Highlighted Player (Yann M Vila):

Formerly a blistering talent and one of the most promising youngsters in French football, Yann M’Vila ended up being a class book example of a player who made all the wrong choices. Having started his career at the age of six with ES Sains-Saint-Fussein, M’Villa was quick to turn heads of the big boys. He was given a chance to move through youth ranks at Rennes where he was given a professional debut in 2009 but it was not long after that his problematic lifestyle came back to haunt him.
Yann M’Villa got suspended from all national teams after an unauthorized night out while on U21 duty with France, a ban which left mark on his club career as well. Despite interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, M’Villa was sold to Rubin kazan in January 2013 which was the time his nomadic experience as a footballer began.
Spells as Inter Milan and Sunderland failed to help him get back to prominence and meet the early expectations, however. Currently a St Etienne player, M’Villa is hoping to re-establish himself back in his homeland.
Highlighted Team (Lyon):

Commonly referred to as Lyon, Olympique Lyonnais is the French club which play their games at the Parc Olimpique Lyonnais with a capacity just a pinch short of 60,000. Lyon is one of the most popular clubs in France with a vast fan base on par with Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille.
The club achieved moderate success during the 1960s and 1970s led by the likes of Bernard Lacombe and Jean Djorkaeff, while the golden era of the French side came at the start of the new millennium when Lyon began to achieve greater success both in France and on the international level.
It was not until 2002 that Lyon won their first ever Ligue 1 title which sparked an ongoing national record-breaking streak of seven successive titles. During that time Lyon were regular participants of the UEFA Champions League. The French club reached quarter-finals on two occasions, while they even played in the semi-finals in the 2009-10 season.
