Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Stade Geoffroy-Guichard will host Friday’s football game between St Etienne and Monaco, the two teams with totally different ambitions in the remainder of the season. St Etienne are eager to secure the Ligue 1 survival and, no doubt, they are high on confidence following a 1-0 win over Angers. Les Verts are six points clear of the relegation zone, meaning that they should be happy with one point from the match.
Mathieu Debuchy returns from suspension, while all Yvan Neyou Noupa, Harold Moukoudi, Romain Hamouma, Alpha Sissoko, and Yvann Macon are sidelined with injuries. Les Rouges et Blancs, on the other hand, are eager to keep their Champions League hopes alive. Monaco failed to turn their dominance into victory in a goalless draw with Lille, but they are surely capable of beating St Etienne behind closed doors. Krepin Diatta is back from suspension for the visitors.
